This is about the third job Mason has done for me and probably the most extensive one. He built a small addition to the back of my house. As always, from beginning to end, working with Mason was seamless. He is one of the most responsive and punctual contractors you will ever find. Mason's team of workers can do anything and they are all the nicest, most professional guys you will ever meet. On this project, he provided all architectural, engineering, permitting and construction services. He went out of his way to design the addition so that it matched the rather unusual Tudor design of my home in Chevy Chase. The project was completed in a timely manner and it looks great. I'll certainly be using Sino-American General Contracting again.
Demolished old storm damaged two-car garage; rebuilt new and improved two-car garage. The demolition and rebuild was one of the best experiences we have had with a contractor. Mason is extremely professional and personable. He responded to our every concern and question promptly and knowledgeably. His crews are skilled and polite. They clean up all of their refuse when finished with a particular component of the work. He was especially helpful in working with our insurance company allowing us to receive funding for the rebuild and for bringing the new garage up to code (since the old garage was at least 5 decades old). We have used Sino-American General Contracting twice before and have already started discussions about a fourth job at our home. I have no hesitation to recommend them.

Demolished existing basement, and did a complete remodel. It went better than even my best expectations. On the first consult, Mason was very good at listening to what I was trying to accomplish with the space and giving me multiple options and different price points. We were expecting our second baby very soon and we needed the space completed ASAP. Mason and his crew fit us in to a busy schedule and even with my adding several items to the project they were able to complete it on time and on budget. All of his crews were on time worked hard all day and cleaned up everything at the end of each day.
What really makes Sino-American GC different is their ability to really listen to what you want to accomplish and not be dismissive or push you in any one direction. They provide you with options on how to get what you want, it felt like a truly collaborative effort, that gave us a basement our family loves spending time in. I've dealt with many contractors and Mason is head and shoulders above all of them in the way he conducts his business, needless to say I highly recommend them. Bottom line is they provide great service at a good price and do what they say.

Mason and the team from Sino-American General Contracting undertook for us the complete restoration of a period house in Georgetown. Three and a half bathrooms, kitchen and basement. The house had suffered years of neglect, was not fit to be occupied and suffered from significant structural problems. This would be a difficult project at any time given the logistical problems of working in that area and the regulatory bodies that need to be accommodated restoring an historic building. The project was made even more difficult however, by the fact that we ourselves were located overseas for much of the time making communication much more of a problem.
We needed a contractor who could understand our general goals for the house then use his own imagination and initiative to turn this into a completed project with minimal input from us. The outcome far exceeded our expectations.
I cannot speak too highly of the quality of Sino-American’s work and the professionalism with which Mason managed this project. We were kept fully informed at all times by email with detail descriptions and photographs of the work. We got far more than a high quality and reasonably priced contractor, he provided numerous ideas for improving the layout of the house with a great eye for the utility and aesthetics of the final result.
We would recommend Sino-American General Contracting without reservation. Mason was responsive and engaged throughout the whole project and it was a pleasure to work with him.

Sino-American General Contracting remodeled our basement, including demolition of/removing: wood paneling on walls, drop-down ceiling, old workstation, carpeting, and toilet, sink, and mirror from a powder room. They added insulation to perimeter walls, installed new framework on walls and ceiling, re-framed and installed 4 new windows, improved exterior water drainage of window wells, installed drywall, installed new stair handrails and balusters, installed recessed and sconce lighting, installed new exterior and interior doors, built double door closet area, installed porcelain tile near entryway, installed new toilet, sink, mirror and lighting in powder room, and painted walls, trim, and doors. We recently purchased a single-family house in Potomac. The basement was technically finished but very outdated and in need of renovation. After soliciting several proposals, we selected Sino-American GC based on Angie's List reviews and their competitive bid. From the start, we felt very confident in their ability to do the job, mainly because of Mason, the general manager and owner. Mason, who coordinated all aspects of the work, was great. He is a very clear communicator, highly responsive, and someone we felt we could trust. He took a strong personal interest in the project and visited frequently to ensure that each aspect of work was being performed to the agreed-upon specifications. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. His crew, including electricians, plumbers, painters, etc., were professional and courteous.
Because the basement leads to the garage, we have to pass through it every day. It was truly an eyesore, and our minimum expectation was that the basement look a little nicer. When Sino-American GC was finished, the basement looked fantastic. It has officially replaced our family room as the "go-to" room. I could not be happier with the result. I would highly recommend Mason and his crews for any remodeling project -- particularly a basement.
